Glee at Comic-Con
Can we get a list going of people who
- Already have their Comic-Con badges and are planning on attending the Glee panel on Saturday, July 14 at 6 p.m. in the Indigo Room at the Hilton, and
- Are willing to try and ask Brad a question and/or have signs and/or wear coordinating colors or accessories to bring attention to the queer parity issue on Glee?
We’d like to get something organized, but it depends entirely on those who are going to be in physical attendance at the panel. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, whether it be signal boosting, supporting those in attendance, or actually attending yourself!
And as always, a postcard or letter to FOX discussing the marginalization of queer characters and storylines is heartily encouraged! Thanks for all you do!
Glee, another show that started out focusing on a female character whose career dreams kept her going, is now one of the most anti-female shows airing. The show consistently belittles the role of women, using them as little more than emotional leaning posts for their boyfriends, boyfriends who are always heroic and decent. When Finn outed Santana it was treated as a good thing, Finn helping her come to terms with her sexuality by serenading her with a cover of Girls Just Want to Have Fun. After all, lesbianism is just girls having fun, right? Weeks later when Dave Karofsky suffers similarly by being outed it is shown through an emotionally overwrought montage and makes way for a story about teen suicide.
I have a question, when you give the writers' addresses, you don't mention Michael Hitchcock, Matthew Hodgson, or Ross Maxwell? Are they not at that same office as Brad, Ali, etc.?
We’re not sure if the Wilshire Blvd. address is where they write/work together or just where some of them have their mailing address at the same place (for example, it’s the same address as Dianna and Lea’s agency), which is why we left off those three names. But if any of our followers have any additional information, we’d love to hear it!
We did dig up an address for Michael Hitchcock:
c/o Rain Management Group
1631 21st Street
Santa Monica, CA 90404
but since he’s also an actor, that might just be his actor-y address.
And we found Ross Maxwell’s twitter address: @_RossMaxwell
We’ve added all the twitter handles we know to the address masterlist, and again, if anybody has any suggestions/knowledge, we’d love to hear it!
WE DID IT EVERYONE!!! WE MADE IT TO THE TOP WORLDWIDE TRENDING TOPIC ON TWITTER!!!!
Consider this gif as a hug for all of you for banding together and getting this done.
And remember that even though this is a wonderful thing, we can still make our voices heard via postcards and tweets directed toward the writers/producers.
But most importantly, Happy Anniversary to Klaine and and everyone who loves them!! <333
10 minute warning!
Alright Klaine fandom, get your tweeting fingers ready to start trending “Happy Anniversary Klaine” at 7pm EST! (Or whatever hour it is where you are.)
Remember that you only need the phrase to appear once per tweet and it helps if you have additional content in your tweet, so it’s not written off as spam. Things like “I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. Happy Anniversary Klaine!” or “Happy Anniversary Klaine, my favorite TV couple.” Etc.
Let’s do this!
This is useful information to make sure our tweets are as effective as possible. And the time is now! Let’s get this DONE!
